When a client like Michael Jackson calls you to defend him in a criminal or civil case, you know that you have hit the big time. And the “big time” has hit for Mark Geragos, who serves as the lead defense attorney for Michael Jackson. As a graduate of Haverford College and Loyola Law School, Geragos serves as the managing partner of the law firm Geragos and Geragos, which operates out of Los Angeles, CA. While he may be most well known for defending Michael Jackson, Geragos has also defended the likes of former Los Angeles Councilman Art Snyder. Geragos also eventually had hip-hop singer Nate Dogg’s charges of kidnapping, criminal threats, and arson dropped.

Geragos on the Jackson Trial

All of this aside, Mark Geragos is still most revered and respected in the attorney industry as the lawyer and defender of pop music star Michael Jackson, who has been hit repeatedly by accusations of child molestation. Geragos has been influential in the cases surrounding Jackson as he has sought to dismiss cases brought against Jackson and has also worked several out-of-court settlements for Jackson throughout his career. As the lead defense attorney for Jackson, Geragos has seen his share of legal and political snags but has proven to be one of the highest-paid and most well-respected lawyers for those involved in the entertainment industry.

Geragos’ Side Jobs

Aside from his legal expertise and experience, Mark Geragos often appears on shows such as “Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” “Dateline NBC,” “Larry King Live,” and “Hardball.” He has been named “Trial Lawyer of the Year” by the Los Angeles Criminal Courts Bar Association, and the Los Angeles Times described Geragos as one of the top lawyers in the country. His opinion in the field of attorneys and lawyers has been highly valued within political arenas, but his most noted client, Michael Jackson, has repeatedly brought him the most notoriety and fame within the American media.
