Due to their level of public exposure and courtroom presence, many lawyers eventually break into the mainstream of America and become famous on some level. Robert L. Shapiro, Marsha Clark, Johnny Cochran, and Christopher Darden all became household names following the O.J. Simpson murder trial. But, in actuality, the most famous of lawyers are probably not even remembered in American history as being famous for their roles as lawyers. In fact, Presidents of the United States of America are lawyers before they are in political positions, mostly because these positions require people to be fluent in the justice system and understand how the entire system worked. Imagine if George W. Bush did not know specific laws pertaining to important issues like social security, or if Bill Clinton had not known laws on operating and maintaining the government. It is important that presidents know how the legal system works so that they can properly run the country.

In the fast-paced world of America, it is no wonder why many lawyers become famous just for doing their job. When O.J. or Kobe Bryant or any number of other athletes, actors, musicians, etc. get into trouble with the law, these lawyers are thrust into the national spotlight and asked to report to the media concerning legal issues. People become familiar with the faces of these people and quickly become engaged with their appearance on the television, radio, or newspaper. Many lawyers are elevating to a point in American history where they will actually become more famous than the clients who they represent and act on the behalf of!
