New York lawyers don’t just deal with crime. There are many laws on the books that have nothing to do with crime – laws that affect both New York residents as well as people in other states. New York lawyers are needed if any of these laws are broken or it companies or organizations would like to fight the unconstitutionality of them. One specific law that falls into this category is the laws surrounding the import and export of wines from within the state of New York. Back when the prohibition laws of the United States were repealed, the United States government also gave every state the power to regulate the importing and exporting of alcohol between states. What this does is obviously create a bit of a mess concerning transporting alcohol to different states. Small vineyards that don’t have large distribution centers or huge productions have to play by these rules. That certainly hurts the New York vineyards. New York law prevents them from selling their product directly to the consumer across state lines. Vineyards could use the help of New York lawyers to get this law either repealed or at least relaxed, as they are missing some prime business opportunities.

New York state has a large number of small vineyards being hurt by this law. Many great wines cannot be sold in certain states because of the New York law, and other laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol from other states. It is a mess that needs to be cleared up, and might be able to be cleared up with the participation of New York lawyers. They have the knowledge and the experience to cut through some of the laws and create new regulations that will benefit everyone.
