When a client like Michael Jackson calls you to defend him in a criminal or civil case, you know that you have hit the big time. And the “big time” has hit for Mark Geragos, who serves as the lead defense attorney for Michael Jackson. As a graduate of Haverford College and Loyola Law School, Geragos serves as the managing partner of the law firm Geragos and Geragos, which operates out of Los Angeles, CA. While he may be most well known for defending Michael Jackson, Geragos has also defended the likes of former Los Angeles Councilman Art Snyder. Geragos also eventually had hip-hop singer Nate Dogg’s charges of kidnapping, criminal threats, and arson dropped.

“If the glove doesn’t fit, you must acquit,” attorney Johnnie Cochran quipped during the O.J. Simpson trial, later dubbed the “trial of the century” in American media. After attending UCLA for his undergraduate studies and receiving a law degree from Loyola-Marymount University, Cochran burst onto the legal scene as a powerful African-American lawyer out to seek justice for others with a keen eye for the controversy. Cochran started out his legal career as a Deputy Attorney for the Los Angeles Criminal Division, where he eventually was able to work his way up to the position of Assistant District Attorney for all of the Los Angeles area. The judge in the O.J. Simpson trial, Lance Ito, actually also served in the same District Attorney office as Cochran, before Cochran eventually left the office to start his own firm. While there, he landed both criminal and civil cases.

Though he has never come even remotely close to possibly winning the presidency election, Ralph Nader’s illustrious career, which dates back to the 1960s, is earmarked by a series of events that has showcased his loyalty to the American people and his need to bring controversy to the forefront in American politics.
